2010 Rama Navami Celebration - A sure unique experience!!!

It was Sri Rama Navami, and that reminds me of shirdi and two other people whom i truly admire for narrating stories. Rama Navami has never been so special for me before. Thanks to my mom, for without her suggestions, i would have never attempted something different like this. How about a story...
Right throughout my childhood , ive always wanted "The Ramayana" to be my bedtime happily ever after. Might sound a little boring, but to me it has always been sweet. Such is the speciality of ramayana. No matter who tells the story , it sounds so good. But believe me , my grandmother was too good at it. Ive been more of a listener. Be it manufacturing, finance, music, or stories (my major areas of interests) i always try to be a good listener.
When it comes to story telling, i've admired quiet a number of people. Here are two of them, whose memories i would love to share. First, one of my neighbours, also my distant relative. Though old, she travels great distance to visit her grand children atleast once a year, and that has been a wonderful time for my cousins and myself. It would be a feast for all of us, as she will be loaded with stories. The count goes like one story a day and that keeps us craving for the next day due. No doubt i admire this other person whom im gonna talk about today ....Mrs. Vishaka Hari.
Unique are her ways of narrating a story. A wonderful singer. Ever since I saw one of her famous performances of a part from ramayana named "Sundara Gandam", ive totally fallen in love with it. The amount of dedication she shows in narrating such stories, can be felt in all the expressions that she gives. She brings it live before us. The listeners will feel as if it were a live dance performance. It has music, it has expressions, and beautiful emotions. She makes us really feel the effect of such devine stories. Music is always good and with a mix of a wonderful story like this, its an awesome combination.
Though i had a chance of learning Sri thyagarajar's keerthana's , i did'nt know the speciality of each and every song that he wrote. Mrs. Hari, gives different interpretations for each and every line in a song. One such interpretation that i admired is here:  "The song explains how Goddess seetha reacts to Ravana's degrading talks about lord rama and her father and before she reacts, she throws a small grass before ravana". the way Mrs. Hari interprets this particular action of  Godess Seetha, is amazing. Hold on a second. I did'nt get so much carried away that i forgot to see her other wondeful performances.
Known to be the king of the empire, that aims at establishing true faith in god, "The Prahlada Charithram" is a real master piece. I did see that, and  i have no words. Its a must watch. It gives us immense confidence and peace of mind. I have always believed in god than beleiving in astrology, and its a wonderful experience. We just need to open our eyes and ears. Efforts are something that we need to pump in. But efforts without god's grace are just efforts. Holding on to something that we truly believe, always helps us stay positive. So, if you get a chance do watch the above and stay positive.

Cheers
